A friend opens a conversation with me by saying " so I bought this box of Magnum golds weekend...they were sooooo good, they were gone in 1 day"I knew she meant the popular ice cream bar Magnum (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnum_%28ice_cream%29). I had to explain (in case she finds herself in the US or talking to an other American), that gold Magnums are something completely different in the US. While she was bragging about a tasty frosty treat...an American not familiar with the snack would think she was bragging about a completely different "treat".
